CR Meyer Facility Tour
Tuesday, October 2nd, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm - $10
Immediately proceeding Tissue 2018
What Will I See?
TAPPI will provide bus transportation to and from CR Meyer's facilities in Oshkosh, WI. The tour starts at our corporate office where you’ll learn our general contractor capabilities and design/build process. This concept brings a dedicated team of architects and engineers together as they consult, design, and build with our customers from the earliest conceptual stages of a project.
Next, we’ll take you to our construction yard where you’ll see an exhibit of our specialty equipment. This wide range of heavy construction equipment is used to make our customer’s vision come to life.
The tour concludes with a visit to our Fab Shop and the new Charles R. Meyer Leadership Center. Established in 2011, the Fab Shop eased scheduling needs by bringing fabrication in house. The 59,500-square foot facility houses a variety of major equipment, materials, and welding capabilities. Our new Leadership Center invests in our future by capturing and preserving the heart of our company’s wisdom and experience. The program integrates hands-on training with classroom learning in the areas of safety, administration, professional development and trade. The Leadership Center has industry standard equipment (including a paper machine) to train our selected participants to be future leaders of our company.
